Taylor Dayne Makes Thousand Oaks Debut, 4/14

The Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza Foundation and Chris Isaacson present "Tell It to My Heart: Up Close and Personal with Taylor Dayne" in her glorious return to the stage. Her debut performance at the Janet and Ray Scherr Forum Theatre will take place at 8:00 pm on Saturday, April 14, 2012.   

Three-time Grammy® Award-nominee Taylor Dayne gives what's being described as "a rare intimate concert sharing the stories behind her legendary songs.  With a voice that imbued 80s and 90s dance music with soul, Taylor Dayne now lends her musical talents to a bold theatrical event - a show never been done by a pop sensation of her caliber. Embark on an emotional journey with Taylor as she relives the struggles of her demanding life, talking candidly about her rapid ascent to stardom, belting out her greatest hits.  Her life will flash before your eyes in private videos from the point of view of this pop diva as Taylor reveals the truth about the cut-throat industry, the seeming end to her career, and her triumphant rise from the ashes into television, film and fashion.  This show, directed by Steve Rothman, reflects on her most intimate moments in an unplugged fashion - a true exposé of a superstar."

Taylor is 'the voice' that has 17 Top-10 hits including "Tell It to My Heart,"  "I'll Be Your Shelter" and "Love Will Lead You Back," Taylor Dayne stands out as one of music's most dynamic artists selling over 75 million albums and singles worldwide. Taylor has sold out two world tours, successfully appeared in numerous film, television and stage roles including Elton John and Tim Rice's Tony Award-winning musical Aida. Most recently, she was a finalist on Food Network's Celebrity Cook-off.
