A benefit concert featuring thirty-five new talents will be held August 18th at the Hillcrest Center for the Arts.

The 7:30pm concert, entitled BROADWAY BOUND, will celebrate the “exciting new musicals bound for Broadway.” Directed by Robert W. Schneider, the evening will feature musical direction by Zachary Spencer and choreography by Heather Castillo.

Songwriters that will be featured include Goldrich and Heisler, Kerrigan and Lowdermilk, Georgia Stitt and Adam Gwon. Songs from such musicals as Grumpy Old Men, The Hudsucker Proxy and Dani Girl will be heard.

Among those scheduled to appear include AJ Holmes (Young Frankenstein), David F.M. Vaughn (Shrek), Sasha Weiss (Jerry Springer: The Opera) and Ben Bowen (Harm’s Way)

The one night only event will benefit the Young Artists Ensemble, a children’s theatre group that not only trains exciting new talent, but also hosts a program that integrates developmentally delayed adults into the theatrical community. A silent auction will be held at 6:30pm with a desert reception following the show.

Tickets for BROADWAY BOUND are priced at $25 for adults and $20 for children. Tickets are available by calling (805) 381-1246 or visiting www.yaeonline.com.

The Hillcrest Center for the Arts is located at 403 West Hillcrest Drive in Thousand Oaks, California.
